Why was my card declined?

A card transaction may be declined because of:

  • Insufficient available balance
  • Unsupported merchant category
  • Country or region restriction
  • Card limit
  • Failed 3D Secure or OTP
  • Fraud or risk controls
  • Merchant pre-authorization
  • Issuer or network rules
  • Technical issue

How do refunds work?

Refunds are processed by the merchant and card network.

The refund amount and timing may vary. If FX was involved, the refunded amount may differ from the original amount due to exchange-rate movement or fees.
